

Southam started the better and spent 20 minutes in the Old Laurentians half, but were unable to score. The line out wasn’t working, but through props Charlie Gilkes & Lee Bodfish the scrum was working well. Southam had chances to score, but with the wind and the driving rain the Southam backs struggled to get the ball wide. OL's got on the board first with a run away try, getting the ball wide and scoring in the corner. Southam came back hard, with some strong running from full back Olly North,
who ran through straight through the OL's defence to score under the posts, fly half Josh Tolley converted.
Southam had their tails up and the backs were getting into the swing of things, centres Henry Warner & Kiron Phillips made some great ground and Josh Tolley kicked to the corner and wing Peter Armstrong scored, Tolley converted

In the second half the rain and wind kicked up it become a very scrappy game and Southam again found themselves on the wrong end of the whistle, with penalties Southam eventually succumbed to the pressure and OL's scored from a driving maul.
With some strong tackling by flanker Joe Brain and No8 Flo Neale, Southam found themselves stealing ball and on the front foot and we’re awarded a penalty when captain Phil Nichols was tackled off the ball, Tolley converted. Southam defended hard with some great work by 2nd rows James Tolley and Marcus Ferguson taking it to the big solid Laurent’s forwards. But OL's scored a questionable converted try. Southam got back the had the territory, with some strong running from Neale and North. Southam secured the ball for a last gasp drop goal attempt by Tolley, but it went wide.
