Full Time Report – President's Day
A fantastic day at Southam Rugby Club as a big crowd gathered for our President’s Day celebrations — sunshine, great hospitality, and two committed Southam performances on show.

Huge thanks to President Perkins for organising a superb event, and to Upton-upon-Severn for providing strong opposition and contributing to a brilliant occasion.

The 1st XV exploded out of the blocks, scoring twice inside the opening minutes through Charlie Munro and Jenson “the Destroyer” Cullen, both converted for an early 14–0 lead. Upton responded well, capitalising on Southam errors to narrow the gap, but a powerful finish from Liam Munro and a well-worked move finished by Harry Hewson secured the bonus point before half-time.
The second half, however, was a scrappier affair — injuries, a yellow card, and repeated penalties kept Southam pinned in their own 22 for long spells. Credit to Upton for upping their intensity, but the home defence held firm to close out a 28–14 bonus-point victory.
1st XV Man of the Match: Liam Munro.

The 2nd XV had a tight encounter against Old Laurentians 2nds, battling throughout in a proper contest but eventually falling 17–24. Catty impressed up front, grabbing two long-range tries and leading from the front in a spirited team performance.
